Eczema is a skin condition that no one is proud of whenever they have it. Other skin problems may be bearable but this one is totally off limit. The red, itchy, and scaly patches that usually accompany it are quite crazy and can disfigure the skin. It has been shown that certain foods can trigger symptoms, which includes nuts and dairy. However, symptoms vary according to age.  Anyway are you battling with this disgusting skin problem and you are looking for solutions? Below are some home remedies that can help.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil has lots of benefits. From cooking to beauty down to skincare, coconut oil is one good remedy you can count on. It has some anti-bacteria and anti-inflammatory properties that can help ease symptoms. It also provide your skin with enough moisture since dry skin is one common cause of eczema.

Sleep with a humidifier

Your skin will dry up when your home lack enough moist air. Use a cool midst humidifier to increase moisture in your home. This may help calm symptoms.  

Reduce stress level

Stress can take a big toll on your overall health. When you are stressed, your body releases chemicals (especially cortisol) that can pose a threat to your immune system and make you vulnerable to skin problems.

Exercise

When you exercise, blood flow effectively round your body, with lots of nutrients and oxygen. This healthy circulation help keep your skin healthy and vibrant.

Swap out alcohol

Although there are no specific diets known to cause eczema however, alcohol often gets a bad rap and can worsen symptoms. Since alcohol creates inflammation in the body and inflammation triggers eczema, it makes sense if we say alcohol contributes negatively to the condition.

Take lukewarm showers…

Shower with lukewarm water but be careful and make sure its not hot enough. Hot water can dry the skin and make you more vulnerable to symptoms of eczema.

Oatmeal are wonderful

Oatmeal benefits the skin in several ways and can be a step in the right direction. If your skin is highly irritated, soaking in a tub of oatmeal can help calm itchy skin and ease symptoms.

Over the counter medication

There are lots of medications available for sale at the chemist. Antihistamines like Benadryl, nonprescription hydrocortisone creams, and calamine lotion can all help soothe symptoms.
