Reasons Why You May Not Be Getting Pregnant

Getting pregnant can be a very difficult task for most couples. It can be so overwhelming and daunting most especially when couples are trying so hard to make the baby thing work. While there are several biological and medical conditions contributing to barrenness, on the other hand studies have shown that most couples finds it difficult trying to make a baby even when they may be medically OK.

When trying to get pregnant, there are several factors that comes into play and can prevent the process, most of these factors may not be related to medical conditions or infertility but strictly on lifestyles and everyday activities.  

Below are factors that could contribute to lack of getting pregnant even when the woman if fertile.   

Stress

Stress is always one of the culprit when it comes to reproductive issues. Stress can interfere with our overall health and can contribute to a whole lot of complications. Cortisol is a hormone that is released whenever we are stressed, too much build up of these hormone can affect the functioning of the hypothalamus in the brain.

The hypothalamus is the part of the brain which regulates appetite and emotions, it is also the part that controls the release of the follicle stimulating hormone - a hormone that tells the ovarian tissues to release eggs during ovulation. Stress have a way of affecting the hypothalamus negatively which could contribute to the overall problems women face with child birth.

Try to limit stress if you want to make the conception thing work. There are several ways in which you can reduce stress which includes exercising, meditation, yoga, engaging your self in hobbies and doing things that makes you happy and fell relaxed. 

Lack of sleep

Don't underestimate the power of sleep, having good sleep daily can be a good remedy to a whole lot of problems, it is a way to get your body relax and rejuvenate. Lack of adequate sleep could lead to the build up of stress and tiredness which can switch down your reproductive cycle.

Cut Down On Alcohol

No amount of alcohol is considered safe to drink while pregnant and there is no safe time point or trimester in pregnancy to drink alcohol. Alcohol use during pregnancy also can cause spontaneous abortion, stillbirth, low birth-weight, and prematurity so it is totally a no go area for a woman trying to get pregnant or an already pregnant woman.

Weight problems

Try to keep your body mass index on regular check is way to stay tuned to fertility and overall healthiness. Obesity has been shown to play a major role in several health issues such as diabetes, heart problems, including reproductive problems. A woman who is underweight or overweight may have some difficulty conceiving a baby so always put your body on check to check for obesity or malnutrition. 

Not knowing your cycle

Most women don't understand their cycle, knowing the exact period you ovulate is very vital when trying to conceive.  

Not keeping A Positive Attitude

If you are trying to achieve anything in life, keeping a positive attitude is very vital. Our body works in accordance with our mind, it react according to the dominant issues of the mind. Of course there may be negative talks from different people around you but try not to believe or pay attention to their negativity, just maintain a positive attitude while trying to make a baby.
