What Does You Hands Say About Your Health?

Our body gives us lots of signals that we often do not pay attention to. These signs are usually an indication that something is going on with our health. It is very possible to detects several health problems by ourselves without going to the hospital, all we need do is pay closed attention to our body and read the signs they display. For example, our hands are an important indicator of what is going on in us—they give us all kinds of signals that most times we often don't consider.

Tingling in your hands and fingers


This is a "pin and needle" sensation you feel in your hands sometimes. It is an indication that you need to put your diet on check meaning you may be deficient in vitamins B complex and/or vitamin E. Whenever you feel this sensation, try to introduce supplements into your diets.

Blue fingertips (Peripheral Cyanosis)


When your fingers turn blue at the tip, it often signify that they are not getting enough oxygen-rich blood. This is less harmful anyway but it may at times be a sign of a more dangerous condition such as lung disease or circulation problems.

Feeling numbness in finger


You feel numbness in your fingers when they are short of blood. It can also be the result of a pinched nerve or cardiovascular disease.

White or blue, numb fingers


This may be an indication of Buerger’s disease. A rare disease that leads to inflammation in the small and medium arteries and veins in the arm and leg. It has been shown that smoking could cause it.

Pale nail bed


Pale nails is usually a symptom of iron deficiency. It indicates that you don't have enough blood or red blood cells in your body. 

Shaking hands


Shaking hands may be a symptom of Parkinson's disease. Although before you raise an eye brow, you need to first and foremost check your stress levels. Because it may also be an indication that you are not having adequate rest.

Swollen red hand


A swollen red hand may be a sign of erythromelalgia, a rare vascular peripheral pain disorder in which blood vessels, usually in the lower extremities or hands, are episodically blocked, then become inflamed.

Swollen fingertips


Swollen fingertips is often a symptoms of arthritis. Though swelling can also have causes that aren't due to underlying disease. Examples include muscle injury, prolonged standing or eating large amounts of salt.
