Signs that Shows You Are Sleeping too Much

Nothing is as enjoyable and healing than a good sleep. Sleeping is best for your body because it help your body recover from stress, rejuvenate your entire system and keep you refreshed. But there is something called sleeping too much, most of us may not have heard about that -of course sleeping too much is a thing and you need to avoid it. According to experts, all adult humans requires at most 10 hours of sleep daily but when we spend more than half of the day crashing, that may be too extreme and there are quite a lot of negativity attached to that.

But how do you tell whether you are sleeping too much or not?. In order to know if you hibernated too much, below are signs you may want to look out for.

Headache

Headache is probably the most common symptoms one experiences after spending too much time in bed. According to experts, when sleeping, the nerve impulse fluctuates too often that it could lead to a serious headache when the sleep is prolonged. Another thing that could cause headache is a decline in blood sugar, and dehydration. We all know that sleeping is a form of fasting. And when we sleep too much than required, our body is going to be over dehydrated and we are going to as well experience a sharp decline in sugar level which could all result in a severe headache.

Brain fog

This is a common experience among most of us sometimes. Brain fog is a medical term that denotes clouding of consciousness. It means that you are not in coma yet you consciousness is obscure. Have you ever noticed that sometimes when you wake up from sleep, it looks as if your brain is trying to understand the things that are happening around you? You are physically present and your brain is working fine but your head is not in it. It has been shown that too much sleeping can cause such a feeling called brain fog or mental fog. 

Waking up tired

You may have noticed that after sleeping for prolonged hours your body becomes too weak that you experience extreme tiredness.  

Memory loss

A research have shown how sleep can affect brain performance. In the study the volunteers were asked to perform some activities that would engage more of the brain. It was shown that those who slept more than the required daily amount were performing worse on certain brain tests than those who had a normal eight to nine hours sleep per night. 

Gaining weight

It is true that when one is not getting enough sleep as required, It could lead to increased appetite and weight gain. But do you also know that when you sleep longer than the normal hours a day, you could also gain weight and even more? Sleeping much or sleeping less can disrupt your natural 'body clock' which could all affect your waistline leading to a severe increase in weight gain.
