A Cup Of Coffee Can Help You Avoid Suicide

The rate at which suicide have increased over the years is becoming alarming. Although we've all at some point feel like the world is a cold and frightened place to be. For this reason, some people may feel that the only way to end it all is to put the neck across the noose or whichever way that seems suitable to say goodbye. But according to one study at Harvard University, there may be one absurdly easy way to jettison and let go off this negative thoughts; Just make yourself a cup of coffee.

Coffee have gained credibility over the decades, its one of the most consumed beverages all over the world, it helps awaken our senses and keep us alert in order to face the daily challenges that life has to offer. It contains a significant amount of caffeine, which is the main boss in coffee responsible for doing wonders. Caffeine play an important role when coping with stress and fighting depression, and scientist have actually seen this as a way of alleviating people with suicidal thoughts.

In a gigantic study that monitored nearly 200,000 people over the course of 20 years, researchers tracked suicide rates among those who did and didn’t drink coffee on a regular basis. Bizarrely speaking, they found that those who consumed as little as a single cup per day had their risk of suicide reduced by nearly 50 percent compare to those who don't or those who drink decaffeinated drinks - and it does appears that the caffeine content in the coffee is responsible for this activity rather than any other component present in coffee.

The theory is that caffeine acts as a mild anti-depressant because it boosts the brain’s production of neurotransmitters. But however, caffeine should be consumed in moderation because too much of it can actually worsen situations for you rather than solving them, a single cup to four cups per day should be fine.
