Why does my sneeze smell sweet?

Most of us when we sneeze, we may perceive a honey like odor, this could just be the scent of chemicals being produced by bacteria in your sinuses, however, this could also be as a result of an increase in your ketone levels.

Ketones are produced by the liver as an alternative source of energy in the absence of glucose. High amount of ketone in the body could signify diabetes.

Why does my sneeze smell sour?

A sour-smelling sneeze could be a sign of bad breath, it means you need to brush, flossing, or use mouthwash, but if by any chance it still persist then it could be a sign of gum disease. Regular dental visits could help resolve that.

Why does my sneeze smell foul?

A foul-smelling sneeze is most likely caused by a sinus infection. It could mean that Infected mucus have started to fill with bacteria which can make it smell badly. However, seeing your doctor to prescribe medicine that can clear up that infection is a good idea.

If your sneeze smell like ammonia, it could indicate a serious issue such as a liver or kidney problem. A visit to your doctor can help reduce the source and help you get a better treatment.
