As we soak in the festivities of the season, we realize that none of the parties are fun without a drink in our hands. Especially with Christmas and New Year kicking in, most of us who are throwing house parties must have stacked up heavily on drinks. We have compiled a list of highly creative non alcoholic drinks to try out with your guests who don’t do alcohol.

Non-Alcoholic Grape Spritzer


This is a highly refreshing drink with the goodness of fresh grapes. Very simple to make. Your guests will be left asking for more.

Ingredients:

1 cup green grapes (frozen)
1 cup black grapes (frozen)
2 oranges thinly sliced
2 lemons thinly sliced
8 cups ginger ale
8 cups white grape juice

Method:

Fill in a large pitcher grapes, ginger ale and grape juice. Add ice cubes and serve!


Cranberry Ginger Ale:


This drink is so easy to make that you would surely keep it in your drinks menu. Added to that is the freshness and health benefits of this drink that makes it so perfect for a house party. Cranberry has many health benefits. Its is amazingly low in calories, rich in vitamin C and helps prevent cancer and urinary tract infections. The proanthocyanidins in cranberries make them really good for your oral health as well.

Now with so many reasons to choose this drink, let’s look at how simple the recipe is.

Ingredients:

One part of cranberry Juice
One part of ginger ale
One-part lemonade
A packet or two of cranberries
2 sliced lemons

Method:

Add all the ingredients in a large pitcher. Serve with ice cubes.
 


Non-Alcoholic Sangria


Sangria, with a Portuguese and Spanish origin has quickly found its way into Indian bars and pubs. This cocktail is colorful, fresh and totally apt for a gathering of family and friends. Added to that is the richness of the passion fruit, star fruit and fresh lemons that go into making this wonderful drink.

Let’s take a look at how this delectable drink is prepared.

Ingredients:

5 cups passion fruit juice (store bought)
10 cups ginger ale (you can also use sparkling water)
2 each of fresh kiwi, orange and lime sliced
A can of cranberries

Method:

Take a large pitcher and fill it a quarter with ice. Pour in the passion fruit juice and the ginger ale. Drop in all the freshly cut fruits and give the drink a good stir. You can store this drink in the fridge for some time or serve it directly.

The virgin Pina Colada


Pina Colada is the national drink of Puerto Rico and is a very famous cocktail. It is originally made with alcohol, but the non-alcoholic version tastes just as great as the alcoholic version. This drink will surely be a hit amongst the kids and the elderly people alike. With the richness of coconut milk and fresh pineapples, it’s sure to make your winter party an amazing one.
You can prepare spicy appetizers like kebabs, meat balls, tikkas to go with this drink.

Let’s look at how simple this recipe is.

Ingredients:

4 cups Pineapple Juice, freshly prepared or store bought
2 cups Coconut milk (you can purchase it any grocery store)
Crushed ice cubes- 2 cups
Sugar- as required.

Method:

•    If you are preparing the pineapple juice at home, then slice up 2 pineapples and throw the diced cubes in the blender. Add 1 cup of water and blend it until smooth.
•    Strain the Juice in a strainer and keep it aside. Next add the coconut milk, freshly extracted pineapple juice, ice cubes and sugar into the mixer. Blend until smooth.
•    Garnish with freshly sliced pineapples. Enjoy!

Alcohol is inextricably associated with parties but when we have a family gathering or kids at home, we can very well make the party a big hit with a range of these super easy mocktails.
