These are the things you need to keep in mind while you shop:

• You must look good in the dress i.e the dress or shirt or anything must fit your body shape and complement you. Different clothes suit different people.

• Try not to purchase an item without trying it on first, it may look good in a showroom, but it's not definite that it'll look good on you.

• Don't buy an item which is not exactly your size. If it's too tight or too loose, it looks shabby.

• Check the value for money. Even if the item is really beautiful, if you think it is overpriced or the item is not worth the money, drop it.

• Go for substance rather than brand. Don't be blinded by the brand name and buy something only if it's worth the price you're paying.

• Look around. Do a bit of market research. Don't make an impulsive decision. See other shops. If the same thing can be bought at a lesser price or a similiar item is available, but is better than the one in the previous shop, go for it.

• Lastly, buy something only if you're passionate about it. If you think that you'll be upset or a little bit sad if you don't get the item, take it. If you couldn't care less or are indifferent, you should probably not buy it.
