7-month-old Mrityunjay from Kolkata was born with a rare disorder known as “hydrocephalus” causing his head swell to a staggering 96cm. Unbeknownst to the little one's ordeal, his neighbours shunned him and called him ghost head. After numerous pleas to state authorities, doctors at AIIMS agreed to operate and were successfully remove 3.7 litres of fluid and reduce the size of his head to 70cm. They will now carry cranioplasty to reshape the skull of the boy.
