"Have a night rest" is one of the most popular farewell among many in the society when making a departure or parting out of conversation. But not everyone who received this wishes actually feel what it tastes like!

Sleeping is one thing we all love to do, a natural phenomenon that no one would be able to resist when it comes knocking. Its an activity that place us on a complete rest mode so that our body and entire system can rejuvenate for the sake of being healthy. Like most people will often say; "If you want to live a good life, try having a good sleep". A person who sleep adequately, is a person who will be blessed with good health and a person blessed with good health stands the chance of being productive in his/her daily activities.

Are you planning a meeting with your doctor because you have not been having a good night rest? or you are an insomniac who wished to improve on his sleeping inadequacies? Before you schedule a meeting with your doctor, why not eat a hand full of almonds or drink a cup of camomile tea first? it may be a good remedy to your ordeal. In some foods, there are substances that help you sleep better. You can buy them and introduce them into your diet, they may go a long way to help you out. 

Dairy


A glass of milk, a cube of cheese or a bowl of yoghurt, all help you to drift off to bed and place you in a safe shutdown mode. Diary products are very rich in minerals such as calcium and amino acid, tryptophan, which all help in the production of 'melatonin'-a hormone that regulate sleep. Reach out for any of these products and have a night rest.

Hummus


No wonder this recipe brought a whole lots of conflicts between the Israeli chefs and the Lebanese chefs that both nations had no choice but to take their misunderstanding down to the kitchen. I guess most of you would remember the story.

This fashionable spread is not only great for dipping pieces of cucumber in, but also great for all things drowsy. This recipe is made of chickpeas, which, like other dairy products, contains tryptophan and a some calcium. which produce melatonin hormone as we've earlier mentioned. From controlling blood sugar levels down to the production of Vitamin E, Almond is another great meal that helps fill your eyes with bags of sleep. Another great snack that ends sleepless nights.  They are rich in magnesium, and magnesium are very effective in controlling sleep quality. When you have a magnesium deficiency, it is very difficult falling asleep - you can ask any health professional to confirm. Topping up your magnesium levels by eating some few almonds before bedtime, can be a step in the right direction. So snack on almonds before you go to bed and you will be glad you did.

Walnuts


Another wonder nut that helps with sleep difficulties is the walnut. Most of you may have known before now that walnuts are very good to the reproductive system, most especially in males, where it helps to increase sperm quality and prevent a low sperm count. Not limited to that it can also help to boost melatonin production and improve sleep quality. Don't be scared of them shells, just crack and eat.

Chamomile tea


This one comes in handy because its actually a tea and who does not love teas? What could actually make you sleep better if it can't calm your nerves and relax your muscles? This is all what the chamomile tea does, calming your nerves and relaxing your muscles. Just as you would wake up your day and body with a cup of coffee, also try to shutdown for the day with a cup of chamomile tea because it all worth it.
