Scientist have found that urine can be used to generate electricity. The technology is called microbial fuel cells (MFCs) which uses micro organisms that can thrive on organic material. Urine allows the microbes to feed and grow, a process that releases a tiny amount of electricity.

This biotechnology have already been tested to charge mobile phones and fuel lights, however, more research is being made to further develop the technology and make it available for the public.
